When our teams travel from airports in Anchorage and Fairbanks they often travel distances comparable to driving between states in the lower 48. This is hard for most people to grasp until you actually travel in Alaska.

Anyone who has traveled with a large group understands the need for personal space - especially when you travel long distances.  Because Alaska is so vast, it offers many challenges for transporting teams to their assignments.  When you get a van load of full grown men it will definitely test their abilities to serve each other.  The need for large vehicles that can carry a team of 8-10 men plus their gear is a real need for our ministry.  We also can use cars & SUVs depending on the shape they are in. The bottom line is this: they need to be driven to Alaska. If they are no in good condition, they would be more of a liability rather than a blessing.

For the last 17 years we have been borrowing or renting vans and because we are growing, we believe it is time to get some vehicles of our own. 

Can you help us?  

LightShine Ministries is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.  This allows you to receive a tax deduction for a vehicle that you would donate.  We need vans of all sizes as well as a newer enclosed utility trailer. This is a real need both in Alaska and also in Pennsylvania for transporting our teams back and forth from the airport.  Why do we need your help?  Because our ministry offers free skilled labor to churches and Bible camps throughout Alaska, we do not generate extra profit to purchase these ministry tools. Simply put, some go and others send them. If God has blessed you financially please help us build our ministry tools so we can continue to give to brothers and sisters in Christ who are living in Alaska.  We are a ministry that comes alongside the local church with the goal of equipping them to reach out to people in need in their communities.  We definitely need your help.  Thank you so much!
