We are excited to help connect the needs of people with those who can help! Children's ministry is one of the most important parts of any local church. We want you to prayerfully consider how you can get involved.
Please help the children of Alaska!
Many of the children in the villages of Alaska do not grow up in what some might consider a strong home where two loving parents provide physical, emotional and spiritual stability for them. Many children grow up in single parent homes and have needs that we believe the local church has a responsibility to fill.
One of our goals is to help the local church strengthen these homes by providing sponsors to pay for their children to go to Bible camp in the summer.
LightShine Ministries has helped establish both Strelna Lake Wilderness Bible Camp outside of Chitina and Globe Creek Camp north of Fairbanks. The goal of the two camps is to offer a fun and nurturing environment where children can experience God's love for them and learn from Christian adults who desire to show them how to live as followers of Jesus Christ.
