LightShine Ministries started as a music ministry in 1987
and i
t
wasn't till 1995 that we began serving in Alaska. Today
the band "Just Rain" leads worship and shares God's Word with
audiences in Pennsylvania. They also represent LightShine Alaska from the
stage and challenge their audiences to consider being a part of future teams.
The apostle Paul wrote these words in 1 Corinthians 9:22b-23.
" ... I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you ..." NKJV
Music speaks to people and opens up their hearts for God's message to them. In our modern world it is imperative that we bring the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a language they can understand. The message hasn't changed. But the methods must change.
