Mountain Home Fellowship (MHF) is the ministry of Wick and Candy Sunderland in Palmer, Alaska. Wick and Candy are partners with LightShine Ministries and share a goal of equipping and networking churches, Bible camps and other ministries all throughout Alaska. Because of the layout of the state of Alaska, our partnership with MHF is vital because the Palmer/Wasilla area known as the "MatSu Basin" is a "hub" for travelling throughout Alaska. The building they built attached to their home will be used as a ministry center that will house our teams in the future as well as for bringing in others for teaching, worship and prayer.
The purpose of this trip was to install windows, insulation and drywall. As you can see, there was a lot of work to be done. But they had lots of good times together with Wick and Candy and even had a moose in the back yard!
They also had a chance to meet and spend time with Scott Ogan (below) who is building a Christian Ministry Retreat in Seldovia. Larry Newell (below left) had a chance to use his mechanical skills to serve while Scott Ogan showed our team how he is preparing logs for our May Team to install in Seldovia.
Thank you to all of you who prayed for our team and supported them financially. This team's work was vital for future teams that will be staying at Mountain Home Fellowship and using it as a staging area for their team assignments throughout the state.
